Though they were released today on bail by a metropolitan magistrate, the authorities of the civic-run institution expelled them from hostel. One of the scenes of the film shows freshers played by Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and Madhavan being ragged by seniors. The film got embroiled in a controversy after the ugly spat between author Chetan Bhagat, whose novel "Five Point Someone" inspired the movie, and its makers over the credit for the story.
