So, Parliamentary Affairs Minister V Narayanasamy, gauging the mood of the MPs, passed a chit to Ramesh: “All MPs are satisfied” (in other words, please stop your speech so that we can go home). Ramesh, known for his sense of humour, made the chit public, “Narayanasamyji is telling me that all MPs are satisfied. But the minister himself is not satisfied. I request Swamiji to give me more time.” As the House burst out in laughter and Narayanasamy looked embarrassed, Ramesh continued, “I must take swamiji’s permission because he is the real swami here.”
