IL&FS Cluster Development Initiative Limited has received a requirement of job opportunities for over 3,000 people from the apparel industries in Bangalore, Tirupur and Trivandrum. In Orissa, the Sewing Machine Operator Training Program was inaugurated by the state chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the Hinjilicut block office on July 27 last year. The objective of the training programme was to train rural youth belonging to the BPL (below poverty line) families in the age group of 18-30 years and also place them after training.
